Why this math program works
Why is "The Little Math Genius" training program so effective?
Our math program is fast and easy. No tricks!
Searching the Internet for help you've probably stumbled upon tons of pages that include "tricks". The training program you're offered here is not about tricks! Kids who need help with math can't use tricks to "remember" math - you must understand math!
Just follow the sequence of our math program and follow the rule about short, daily exercises - and you'll be rewarded big time!
The memory process - how we learn
- Information is aquired
- The mind stores the information
- Information recall
Attention is needed for step 1 to be successful (that's why we forget names so often, so fast!)
Step 3 reinforces the information in our mind. We must use the information or else it will soon be forgotten. That's why it must be a part of the learning process.
In 5 minutes your child can do up to 200 math problems in its head.
Our math program is just plain, simple math. Done again and again. Practice is all that counts. The problem is, practicing on paper is sooo slow that a quick mind will drift off very soon.Multiplication will soon be easier and your child's mood and attitude towards math may change a lot.
It's not the problem on the paper that counts - it's what goes on in the student's mind.
Problem with school
If the student is doing math on paper, but still counting on fingers or using calculator, the student's ability to do math will not grow any stronger.
In 5 minutes your child can do up to 200 math problems in its head.
Do this every day and you'll see amazing results. Kids who never could multiply now learn each multiplication tables in days, with only mintues of practising each day. Children who need help with math don't have the attention span to practice for a long time. With our online training system, most can.
Using playing cards instead of plain symbols (numbers) will activate the student's attention in a flash.
The brain's ability to remember pictures is more stronger than remembering sounds or symbols that don't have pictures associated to it.
Example:
What do you "see" in your mind when you think of a bird, or a bicycle?
Again, think of a number, or the sign "+". What do you "see".
Probably just the symbol - not the meaning of it...which is why we tend to forget phone numbers and names (rather than faces).
